Hi friends ,I have a friend who is from village background but able to crack GRE and IELTS with a decent score.
How he has cracked GRE and IELTS in his own words
Hi! this is PitchiReddy from 4th ECE .I had recently written GRE and got 301 and IELTS band score of 7.
Everyone has a different perception of doing something, here I am expressing some of my views on GRE, and you may or may not follow these.
Exam Pattern:
GRE exam has 5 sections excluding AWA (Analytical weighting Analysis) if your section is verbal then you will get 3 verbal+2 Quant and vice versa and out of 5,1 will be a dummy section and that will be removed without your knowledge and each section duration is 30 minutes.
Preparation Strategy Followed:
Coming to Quant section you will be tested with simple math’s that you done since your school days like, arthematics, algebra, geometry, probability, statistics etc. So scoring good marks in Quants is very easy if you were good in solving problems but practice more and more on quants and get your self-tested with different kinds of questions which keeps you sharp and saves lot of time during exam.
Areas to be concentrated more:
1. Geometry
2. Data Interpretation
Try to learn from the basics rather than by hearting formula because sometimes you will be asked simple basics which we think as not important, that will cost you a lot time.
Coming to verbal scoring is very difficult .You should definitely learn attest 300 high frequency Gre words to read and understand the questions ,so try to learn at least some 50+ words a day if you are a beginner.

Reading comprehensions is a very important topic in GRE verbal .Try to practice at least one Reading Comprehension every day ,that will boost your verbal score.
Please follow different tactics given in GRE barons while solving verbal, definitely assist you a lot. There are so many who got 0 in verbal because of negligence.
So Overall don’t take GRE as a simple exam.
Getting 285 or 290 is easy task but after 290 every single mark need your hard work, and time management is very important.Try to write as many mock tests as possible through any means.
