With an aim to provide no-wire workplace and to increase the productivity of businesses of all sizes, the Multinational Corp. Intel has announced the arrival of 5th generation Intel Core vPro processor family. The devices featuring vPro processors will provide built-in security, faster computing and better manageability capabilities. These features will be helpful in providing data protection and will also enable remote IT access. By addressing three distinct areas namely - PC design innovation, wireless display and wireless docking, Intel wants to render better work experience to its customers.
Intel Pro Wireless Display (WiDi) technology enables quick, reliable connections with low latency and plays content wirelessly from vPro processor based systems to HDMI-equipped TVs and monitors using a compatible adapter. Moreover, it also supports essential IT requirements such as wireless channel management for reducing network congestion risk and security vulnerabilities. Pro WiDi is also capable in efficiently updating and managing adapters remotely.
Intel Wireless Docking is a reliable feature based on Intel Wireless Gigabit technology. The Dock serves as a physical hub for connecting displays and USB accessories but with the Wireless Docking technology, the Dock will enable the systems to automatically connect to monitors and USB peripherals. As soon as the users walk to their desk, they will be connected for work via Wireless Docking.
The Intel Core vPro processors when paired with Intel Solid-State Drive Pro 2500 Series, allow IT departments to execute built-in data encryption capabilities efficiently. Intel claimed that the new ultrathin clamshells, two-in-ones, Ultrabooks, and mini PCs based on Intel Core vPro processors will have twice the battery life, two times faster performance along with optimized form factors that are up to three times thinner and about 50 percent lighter than a laptop four years ago. These devices will be available from 12 PC manufacturers. However, the further announcements are not made yet.
